Musk’s Legion

Musk’s Legion

In normal times, this would be a headline only in the Weekly World News, not in pretty much every paper out there: “Inside Musk’s plan to make a ‘legion’ of babies and get to Mars to save civilization.”

Elon Musk has a plan to populate the world with more babies of “high intelligence” — and it’s all part of his wider mission to one day occupy Mars to save civilization.

That is according to an explosive report by the Wall Street Journal about the world’s richest man and how MAGA influencer Ashley St Clair found herself caught up in his “harem drama.”…

During St Clair’s pregnancy, she claimed Musk suggested they “bring in other women to have even more of their children faster” in his mission to save civilization.

“To reach legion-level before the apocalypse,” Musk told St Clair in a text message seen by the Journal. “We will need to use surrogates,” he added. …

Musk’s ambition to get humans to Mars is driven by his fears of a declining population. He believes, people close to him told the outlet, that a solution is for educated people to have more children.

“I think for most countries, they should view the birthrate as the single biggest problem they need to solve. If you don’t make new humans, there’s no humanity, and all the policies in the world don’t matter,” Musk said at a conference last year in Saudi Arabia.

“Musk’s baby-making project is relevant to his ambition for NASA, which he wants to move faster to go to Mars,” the Journal reports. Musk sees it as his responsibility to help “seed the earth with more human beings of high intelligence.” [Rhian Lubin, Independent 16 Apr. 2025]

Bat Boy, move over! Musk needs to rush his baby-making project because, the article says, “he has predicted that humans could land on Mars in the next 20 to 30 years – though some NASA scientists have said the plans are highly unlikely.” There’s a link to what those scientists say, but they may well have been fired by now by Musk’s DOGE.

Recently I was digging around in the Musk family tree. The memes about his grandfather being a Nazi had made me curious. What I found out about grandpa, Joshua Haldeman, was even odder. While I was still trying to pull all the branches of crazy into some kind of order, I found an article by Geoff Leo from CBC that did a great job doing so. But he omitted one branch of crazy, and it fits right in here. Elon’s dad Errol.

Errol Musk

Errol Musk is an electro-mechanical engineer and property developer from Pretoria, South Africa. He married Maye Haldeman in 1970 and they had three children, the eldest of whom is Elon. They divorced in 1979. He remarried, and that’s where it gets interesting.

Errol had two children with his third wife, who already had 2 young children. They were married for twelve years. After she and Errol divorced in 2004, he became involved with his stepdaughter and has had two children with her. His justification for this is that his stepchildren had been in foster care. He and their mother saw the children on scheduled visits. So, he says, he and his stepdaughter really had no familial relationship. Twelve years of marriage. But let’s just hear it in his own words.

Though he claimed Elon and [brother] Kimbal were upset with him for fathering a child with a woman they felt was “their sister,” Errol told The Sun, “The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce. If I could have another child I would. I can’t see any reason not to.” [Jessica Sager, People 7 Nov. 2022]

“One thing led to another — you can call it God’s plan or nature’s plan,” he told The Sunday Times in 2018 about his relationship with [his stepdaughter]…

Errol once again found himself in the news in November 2024 when he backed up a previous controversial statement from his son, during which the SpaceX founder seemed to be a proponent of selective breeding in humans.

“I wouldn’t call it eugenics as such, but every nation has practiced a certain form of survival of the fittest,” Errol stated in an interview with Sky News, using the example of racehorses. “One need only go to England and go to the Cheltenham area, the horse breeding area, and say, ‘Look, we’re not going to breed the horses anymore by any form of standard. I’ve got a few old horses I’ve found in Nigeria and we’re going to just mix them with your race horses…’ They’ll say, no, no, no, no, no.’” [Michelle McGahan, Newsweek 30 Nov. 2024 – emphasis added]

It’s funny, isn’t it, that those in favour of eugenics always assume that they would, and should, be part of the breeding stock. Whether or not a conscientious breeder would put them in the stud book, the Musks have done their best to put themselves there!
