Prediction: Buyer’s Remorse?
By Remembrance Day this year (2025), the US will be experiencing the Mother of All Buyer’s Remorse. The Reaganesque question “Are you better off than you were 1 year ago” will hit home with a sledgehammer “NO” for an answer.
The first real effects will probably be felt in the Sept/back to school shopping with a “Hey, wait a minute–you said you were going to lower prices” plus god knows whatever else this dumpster fire/wet diaper Presidency has created.
By October whatever effects the tariffs will have will have wound its way through the system. This will be on top of whatever comes out of “The Epstein Files,” effects of DOGE cuts, Tax Bill deception, purges in the DOJ, FBI, State Dept, rounding up cheap labour for deportation, Bond Market, etc, etc. There are things we just can’t predict, other than it is gonna be big, stupid, and ugly.

Prediction #2: President in waiting?
Trump will not survive his term. His health is bad, ok? And he’s disassembling physically and mentally in front of our eyes. Will it happen this year or 2026? Personally, I only want him to live long enough to experience some humiliation for his stupidity, the same humiliation he so gleefully dispenses to others.
When it happens, a spontaneous joy will erupt all over the world. Parades and celebrations, anyone with a horn or drum will head out into the street, it will be as if every country just won the World Cup. You will hear “Ding, dong, the Witch is Dead, When the Saints go Marching In, No More Kings,” etc. Some people will take a day off work to celebrate, there will be dancing in the streets, people will gather together in bars and backyards. It will shake the newly minted President Vance watching from the Oval Office, who may request the National Guard.
This part of the Trump era will be over, and a new part, perhaps darker, will begin. Hard to say what “The Talented Mr. Vance” will do–will he lean into the authoritarian powers the Supreme Court has granted, or will he try to modify some of the more extreme aspects of Trump’s policies with an eye on the 2026 midterms?
Just as the biblical False Prophet paves the way for the Antichrist, Trump has paved the way for Vance. He has all the tools he needs: the Supreme Court, a cowered House and Senate, media, universities, voter base, etc.
It is entirely possible that by 2028 we will look back on the Trump era with some nostalgia as a simpler time. Trump is a sometimes entertaining, incompetent buffoon. Vance is neither entertaining nor incompetent, he is a shape shifter with survival skills. Look at who put him there: the soulless billionaire Peter Thiel and Don Junior. Never forget that Vance, a man who grew up on food stamps, cast the deciding vote on a tax bill that will kick millions (?) off food stamps and health care.
Will democracy survive? I have no idea. I just know the US voluntarily gave up its place in the world on April 2, 2025, Liberation Day, and the overall effect of Donald Trump will be to Make China Great Again.
Btw: I believe one day there will be mass burnings/bonfires of MAGA hats, shirts, signs and crap. I don’t know the exact reason, but I believe it will happen. That is all, thanks.
